What convinced you to become part of the hej.build architecture advisory board?

The opportunity to critically examine the marketing of construction products.

What concerns you most at the moment in terms of architecture, interior design, or even building products?

The question of how we as architects can contribute to creating more urban and spatial qualities with less material consumption and reduced land use.

In a few words, what is good architecture/interior design for you?

Finding an individual response to each design and construction task. This involves questioning existing design trends and structural and functional conventions, while at the same time applying existing knowledge from architectural history to our current requirements.

Is there a current highlight or an all-time favorite project that you would like to tell us about?

It is difficult to settle on a single project. Here is a small selection: Alvar Aalto's town hall in Säynätsalo, Hans Scharoun's Philharmonie in Berlin, Friedensreich Hundertwasser's Kunsthaus Wien, Lacaton & Vassal's architecture school in Nantes, Frei Otto's Multihalle in Mannheim, and OMA's Educatorium in Utrecht.
